BN’s Malcolm Mussen Lamoh from Parti Rakyat Sarawak thrashed Jawah Gerang in a straight fight in Batang Ai. Malcolm garnered 3,907 votes to Jawah’s 2,053 votes for a 1,854-vote majority, which is a big improvement over the results in 2006. The voter turnout was 75.32% or 6,019 voters, with some voting stations in remote areas closing at 11am.

In Bukit Gantang, former Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin received 21,860 votes to beat Ismail Saffian (19,071) and independent Kamarul Ramizu Idris (62) for a majority of 2,789 votes.
In Bukit Selambau, PKR’s S. Manikumar received 12,632 votes, BN’s Datuk S. Ganesan 10,229 and the 13 independents garnered 1,326 votes in all.
