Opposition leaders to meet today on Perak crisis

KUALA LUMPUR, May 14 — Bernama

— The leaders of the opposition parties will hold a meeting today to discuss the Perak political crisis and to determine the next course of action.

Ipoh Timur MP Lim Kit Siang told reporters yesterday after a public forum here that the Perak crisis was not localised to the state but a crisis that reflected on the nation's constitution and institutions.

He refused to say where the meeting would be held.

The DAP veteran politician also said that he would propose a meeting with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak regarding the matter because it reflected Malaysia's image at the international level.
