Pakatan Rakyat will field a PAS candidate in the Kuala Terengganu by-election.
PAS deputy president Nasaruddin Mat Isa said the decision was made after discussions with Pakatan Rakyat partners PKR and DAP.
“We will decide on the candidate at the central committee meeting on Dec 21,” he said.
The relevant sub-committees will be established to prepare for the by-election, he said, adding that PKR and DAP had given their support to the decision.
The seat fell vacant following the death of Deputy Education Minister Datuk Razali Ismail.
Razali, 59, died while playing badminton in Genting Highlands last Friday.
